For his documentation Jahrhundertzeugen, the journalist Tim Pröse spoke to 18 witnesses who actively took part in resistance to the Nazi Regime or were themselves victims who survived the Shoah thanks to courageous helpers.

Among his interviewees were Inge Aicher-Scholl, sister of Sophie Scholl, a member of the White Rose resistance group who was executed in 1943; several Wehrmacht officers who had taken part in the assassination attempt on Hitler on July 20th, 1944; Berthold Beitz, longstanding chairman of the board of directors of Krupp-AG, who managed to save 1500 Jews from certain death in occupied Poland in 1942; relatives of Anne Frank; the widow of the industrialist Oskar Schindler who also saved many Jews in Poland; several Jewish survivors.
Tim Pröse's reports describe modest, courageous people and their impressive lives.
